A good identity mark (logo) will express, in an abbreviated way, the unique character of an organization. It should be timeless, original, memorable, appropriate to the client, and adaptable to any format and size. Sometimes the identity may be the sole marketing visual, and other times the logo may play a small part in a bigger brand system. The following are a few identity studies I’ve done for entrepreneurs and start-ups over the years. Some were used, some weren’t. Although a client of this size typically doesn’t have the luxury of creating a large brand landscape through a rich palette of collateral, it’s still creatively rewarding to help them make the first stroke on the canvas.
