With two books under their belt, a long list of international awards, and an impressive client list, which includes HRH The Prince of Wales, you might say Cob in Cornwall (now called Clayworks) are authorities on the subject of building homes with natural materials. Based on Old World methods seldom seen in the U.S., the work they do is of heirloom quality and will easily last for three hundred years or more. Adam and Katy, the owners, are friends of mine and two of the hardest working people I know. Back in 2007, they contracted me to propose a redesign for their website, and though they eventually changed the direction and name of their company—becoming more product focused rather than project focused—the site nevertheless had a timeless feel to it, though maybe not as timeless as one of their beautiful homes.
